Position Overview:
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain and logistics processes within an organization. This role involves coordinating the movement of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication between suppliers, transportation providers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Coordination:
Oversee the entire logistics process, from procurement to delivery.
Coordinate with suppliers, warehouses, and transportation providers to ensure efficient product flow.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for restocking or adjusting orders.
Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy in stock records.
Transportation Management:
Plan and schedule shipments to meet customer and organizational needs.
Evaluate and select transportation methods and carriers to optimize cost and efficiency.
Documentation and Compliance:
Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to logistics and transportation.
Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve logistical issues such as delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to facilitate quick resolution of problems.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, such as sales, production, and customer service, to align logistics with overall business goals.
Participate in cross-functional teams to develop strategies for supply chain optimization.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management is a plus.

Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:
Work in an office or warehouse environment, which may involve occasional travel to suppliers or distribution centers.
May require flexibility in scheduling to accommodate shipping and delivery timelines.
