PACKAGING OPERATOR

Position Overview:
The Packaging Operator in the food technology sector is responsible for efficiently operating packaging machinery and ensuring that food products are packaged according to company standards and food safety regulations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Set up and operate packaging machines, including fillers, sealers, and labeling equipment.
Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency.
Quality Control:
Inspect packaged products for quality, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.
Conduct regular checks for proper sealing, labeling, and expiration dates.
Product Handling:
Accurately and efficiently package food products into various containers, ensuring proper portion sizes and presentation.
Handle food products in accordance with safety and hygiene standards.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve minor equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Report any significant mechanical problems to the maintenance team.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and quality checks.
Complete daily reports on packaging activities and product quality.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members and departments, such as quality assurance and inventory, to ensure smooth operations.
Participate in training sessions and safety meetings as required.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in a packaging or production role, particularly in the food industry, is a plus.

Skills:
Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate machinery.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safety protocols.

Working Conditions:
Work in a manufacturing or production environment, which may include exposure to noise, temperature variations, and food products.
May require standing for long periods and lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
