INVENTORY CONTROL CLERK

Position Overview: The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records for an organization. This role involves monitoring stock levels, coordinating inventory movements, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:
Track and record inventory levels, orders, and deliveries.
Conduct regular physical counts of inventory to reconcile with system records.
Data Entry and Reporting:
Enter inventory data into management systems accurately and in a timely manner.
Generate reports on inventory status, stock levels, and discrepancies for management review.
Stock Coordination:
Coordinate the movement of goods within the warehouse or storage areas.
Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments for quality and accuracy.
Quality Control:
Ensure that all inventory is stored in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Identify and report any damaged or expired products.
Process Improvement:
Recommend improvements to inventory processes and systems for increased efficiency.
Assist in implementing best practices for inventory control.
Collaboration:
Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure proper stock levels.
Communicate with suppliers regarding inventory issues as needed.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business or related field preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse operations is a plus.

Skills:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
Basic math skills and understanding of stock management principles.

Working Conditions:
Work in a warehouse or office environment, which may include exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
May require standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs.
